Built in 1967, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #190) as the Zephyr for the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas.

In 2021, the tug was acquired by the Industry Terminal and Salvage Company of South Heights, Pennsylvania. Where she retained her name.

Repowered in 1992, she is powered by two Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.94:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,120 horsepower.
