Based in Dyersburg, Tennessee the Choctaw Transportation Company Incorporated was founded In 1957 when the Ford Construction Company acquired Choctaw Transportation Company.

The company began operating its marine entity throughout the Inland waterway system. The company continued to place asphalt revetments along the banks of the Mississippi River until the 1960’s at which time the United States Army Corps of Engineer altered their designs utilizing concrete and stone.

Choctaw Transportation specializes in heavy marine stone placement projects including, but not limited to dikes, revetments, subaqueous berms, foreshore protection, hardpoints, scour repair, jetties and coastal protection. Including aggregate sales, supplying local government and private markets in Northwest Tennessee with all types of stone material and sand. As well as agricultural services and
stevedoring.
