Built in 1980, by Modern Marine Power Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #32) as the Elis for the Chesapeake Forest Company of West Point, Virginia.
In 2007, the Chesapeake Forest Company became the St. Laurent Paper Products Company of West Point, Virginia. Where she retained her name.
In 2011, she was acquired by the Ward Towing Company of Deltaville, Virginia. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2012, the tug was acquired by the Central Boat Rentals Company of Berwick, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Kellye Jo.
She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,350 horsepower.
