The company consists of a marine division, supplying deck barges, scow barges, and towing vessels. As well as heavy lifting equipment, and excavators.

Sterling Equipment Incorporated, maintaines two yards. One in Qunicy, Massachusetts where the company provides ample dock space and, deep water. And, another in Staten Island, New York as well.
