Built in 2006, by Bordelon Marine Shipbuilders Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #141) as the Smith Invader for the Smith Marine Towing Corporation of Morgan City, Louisiana.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3508 B diesel engines. With TD 56000 reduction gears. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 4,600 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 55kW Northern Lights generator sets. The tug's capacities are 50,000 gallons of fuel, 1,200 gallons of lube oil, and 16,000 gallons of potable water.

The towing equipment consists of a Markey TD-24 WF, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,350(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire.
