Built in 1975, by Missouri Valley Steel Incorporated of Leavenworth, Kansas (hull #May-71) as the Patriot for Traylor Brothers Incorporated of Evansville, Indiana.

In 2014, the tug was leased by Tappan Zee Constructors of Terrytown, New York. Where she retained her name.

In 2020, she was returned to Traylor Brothers Incorporated of Evansville, Indiana. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, GM 8V-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.5:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 460 horsepower.
