BETHTUG III

Built in 1958, by Blount Marine Incorporated of Warren, Rhode Island (hull #48) as the Bethtug III for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

In 1997, the tug was acquired Derrick Marine Incorporated of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Vulcan III.

Powered by two, Detroit 6-110 diesel engines. With an Allison 4.5-1 transmission, turning two, 50(in) by 38(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 600 horsepower.
