Built in 1980, by the Marlin Marine Corporation of Houma, Louisiana.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Wittich Marine Incorporated of Bayonne, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Sea Lion.

Completely rebuilt in 2015, the tug is powered by two, Cummins QSK-1 diesel engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,400 horsepower.
