Built in 1971, by Halter Marine Services Incorporated of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #310) as the Creek for the Warrior and Gulf Navigation Company Incorporated of Chickasaw, Alabama.
In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Mississippi Fleet and Towing Company of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the 3 Brothers.
In 2001, she was acquired by the LeBeouf Brothers Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the H.J. Dupre.
Rebuilt in 2008, she is powered by two, Cummins KTA50-M2 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MGX5600 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.04:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 3,200 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 60kW, Isuzu ML60INRD generator sets. The tug's capacities are 22,000 gallons of fuel, 400 gallons of lube oil, and 500 gallons of slop oil.
