Built in 1975, by the Terrebonne Shipbuilding Company of Houma, Louisiana (hull #7) as the Miss Brenda the Hilton Marine Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana.

In 1987, the tug was acquired by Sea Ray Marine Services Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Mr. Richie.

In 1991, she was acquired by Blessey Marine Services Incorporated of Harahan, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Laura Blessey.

In 2005, the tug was acquired by Premier Tugs Incorporated of New Iberia, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Carolyn.

Powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 800 horsepower.
