Built in 1968, by the Osaka Shipbuilding Company at Osaka, Japan as the Toho Maru.

The tug was later sold, where she was renamed as the Uno Maru. And, then as the Celtic.

In 1999, she was acquired by the Saipan Marine Corporation, a component of the Cabras Marine Corporation of Piti, Guam. Where the tug was renamed as the Taga.
