In 1974, the Anthony J. Bertucci Construction Company renamed the tug as the Capt. Danny.
She was later acquired by American Tugs Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the John 3:16.
In 1981, the tug was acquired by the Thibodeaux Towing Company Incorporated of Ville Platte, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Tammy.
In 2001, she was acquired by Double Eagle Marine Incorporated of New Iberia, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2010, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Kayla.
Powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines. At a 5.16:1 reduction. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 900 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 35kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 9,000 gallons of fuel oil, and 8,000 gallons of potable water.
