Built in 1968, by Main Iron Works of Houma, Louisiana (hull #196) as the Gulf Master for Gulf Mississippi Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1968, the tug was acquired by Panamanian interests. Where she was renamed as the Nina.

In 1997, the tug was scrapped.
