Built in 1969, by Martinolich Shipbuilding of Tacoma, Washington (hull #391) as the Betsy L. for the Knappton Towboat Company Astoria, Oregon.
In 1988, the Knappton Towboat Company became the Brix Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.
In 1993, the Brix Maritime Company was acquired by the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2024, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Portland, Oregon.
In 2025, the tug was acquired by Stasinos Marine LLC. of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Where she was renamed as the Caitlyn C.
Powered by two, Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears at a 5.18:1. Turning two, 82(in) by 56 (in), four bladed, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,600 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 50kW generator sets. Driven by two Caterpillar D-334 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 20,000 gallons of fuel, 120 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 2,800 gallons of water.
The tug's towing equipment consists of four face winches, with two mounted on the bow, and two mounted on the stern. As well as a single drum towing winch.
