SIGNET VOYAGER

Built in 1975, by Glendale Boat Works Incorporated of Channelview, Texas as the Charles E. Ankele for the Ankele Towing and Transportation Company of Rockport, Texas.

In 1983, the tug was acquired by the Anderson Petroleum Transportation Company of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 1987, she was acquired by the Signet Marine Group Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Signet Voyager.

In 1988, the tug was acquired by Hollywood Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed the Voyager.

In 1999, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2021, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houston, Texas.

Powered by two, GM 12V-149 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. She was a twin screw towboat rated at 1,350 horsepower.
