Built in 1976, by the LeMay Barge and Supply Company of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #331) as the Tom for the LeMay Barge and Supply Company of Greenville, Mississippi.

In 1976, the LeMay Barge and Supply Company renamed the tug as the Ben P. Hudgens.

In 1981, she was acquired by the Brent Towing Company of Greenville, Mississippi. Where the tug was renamed as the Lydia Brent.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2020, she was acquired by McKees Rocks Industrial Enterprises of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. Where the tug was renamed as the Miss Ashley.

Powered by two, GM 8-645E2 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.05:1. She is a twin screw, towboat, rated at 1,950 horsepower.
