Built in 1971, by the Brent Towing Company of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #35) as the Carole Brent for the Brent Towing Company of Greenville, Mississippi.

In 1998, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2002, the tug was leased to Northstar Navigation Incorporated of Paducah, Kentucky. Where she was renamed the Lori Rae.

In 2002, Northstar Navigation Incorporated acquired the tug. Where she retained her name.

In 2003, the tug suffered a fire. The tug was salvaged, and rebuilt by the Missouri Dry Dock and Repair Company Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

In 2004, she was acquired by the Tennessee Valley Towing Company of Paducah, Kentucky. Where the tug was renamed as the W.W. Dyer.

In 2012, the tug went of documentation. Her current, and or, final disposition is unknown. She was powered by three, GM 8-645E5 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.292:1. She was a triple screw, square bow, push boat. Rated at 4,350 horsepower.
