Built in 2006, by J.M. Martinac Shipbuilding of Tacoma, Washington (hull #243) as the Mikiona for the Sause Brothers Ocean Towing Company of Portland, Oregon.

Powered by two, Tier II compliant, Detroit Diesel MTU/DDC 16V4000 diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF873 reduction gears, at a ratio of 7.455:1. Turning two, three bladed, 104(in) by 108(in) pitch, right hand, and left hand turning, stainless steel propellers, mounted in kort nozzles, with quad rudders. For a rated 3,750 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW, John Deere 6068-75 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 126,000 gallons of fuel, 1,650 gallons of lube oil, and 10,500 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of a Rapp Hydema 22031 towing winch. With pendant drum, capstan, and tugger drum. Outfitted with 2,600(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire on the primary drum. And, 800(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire on the pendant drum. Driven by a 250 horsepower, hydraulic, John Deere 6081-75. With a 60 horsepower electric motor back-up.

With a hydraulic, Rapp Hydema capstan, mounted on the bow.
