Built in 1978, by Gladding Hearn Shipbuilding of Somerset, Massachusetts (hull #199) as the Jaguar for Captain Charles G. Mitchell of the Mitchell Towing and Salvage Company of Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

Powered by two, 12-71, natural, diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by one 13kW, Lister generator set. And, one 20kW, Lister generator set.
