Built in 1973, by Houma Fabricators Incorporated of DeHoop, Louisiana (hull #35) as the Gus Candies for the Otto Candies Company of Des Allemands, Louisiana.

In 1986, the tug was acquired by Tidewater Marine Services Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Rio Bravo.

In 2005, she tug was acquired by the Hannah Maritime Corporation of Lemont, Illinois. Where she was renamed as the Kay Lynne Hannah.

In 2006, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2009, she was acquired by Mobro Marine Incorporated of Green Cove Springs, Florida. Where the tug was renamed as the Rio Bravo.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-645-E6 diesel engines. Turning two, 117(in) by 71(in), cast steel, fixed pitch propellers. With two reduction gears at a ratio of 5:1. For a rated 4,200 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 75,289 gallons of fuel.
