Built in 1970, by Southern Shipbuilding of Slidell, Louisiana (hull #85) as the Chippy T. for Nolty J. Theriot Offshore Incorporated of Golden Meadow, Louisiana.

In 1996, the tug was acquired by Can Do Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Elizabeth Adams.

In 2003, she was acquired by the BCA Services Company of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the La Marie.

In 2006, the tug struck a submerged object, capsized and sank 30 miles offshore of Sabine Pass, Texas. The tug was raised, salvaged, and returned to the BCA Services Company.

In 2011, the tug went out of documentation, and was "laid up." Her current, and, or final disposition is unknown. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 5,600 horsepower.
