EVELENA

Built in 2008, by Orange Shipbuilding Incorporated of Orange, Texas (hull #392) as the Evelena for the Suderman and Young Towing Company of Houston, Texas.

A Z-Tech 7500 series tractor tug. Designed by the Naval Architecture firm, Robert Allan Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Along with the Bay Houston Towing Company of Houston, Texas. The Suderman and Young Towing Company is part of a combined operating company, the G and H Towing Company of Houston, Texas.

In 2011, the G and H Towing Company became part of a joint venture between the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Serving the Cameron LNG facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder Caterpillar 3500 HD diesel engines, with Schottel SRP 1520FP z-drives. Outfitted with 106(in), stainless steel, propellers, for a rated 6,300 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 125kW Marathon generator sets. The tug's capacities are 47,530 gallons of fuel, 1,660 gallons of hydraulic oil, 2,089 gallons of lube oil, and 6,299 gallons of potable water.

Her towing gear consists of a Markey winch mounted on her bow. However, she not fitted with one on the stern.
