Built in 2000, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #410) as the Jess Newton for the Suderman and Young Towing Company of Houston, Texas.

Along with the Bay Houston Towing Company of Houston, Texas. The Suderman and Young Towing Company is part of a combined operating company, the G and H Towing Company of Houston, Texas.

In 2011, the G and H Towing Company became part of a joint venture between the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Serving the Cameron LNG facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Powered by two, EMD 12-645 diesel engines. With Ulstein z-drives, she is a twin screw tractor tug, rated at 4,300 horsepower.

The tug's electrical service is provided by two, John Deere generator sets. Her capacities are 55,253 gallons of fuel, 1,571 gallons of lube oil, 6,866 gallons of potable water, and 39,228 gallons of ballast.
