Built in 2006, by the Cenac Shipyard Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana as the Al Cenac for the Cenac Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Metropolitan Marine Transportation Incorporated of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Pegasus.

She is a triple screw tug, rated at 1,900 horsepower.
