Built in 1983, by the Cenac Shipyard Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #50) as the Clinton Cenac for the Cenac Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Teppco Marine Services Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2009, she was acquired by Enterprise Marine Services Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Clinton.

In 2015, the tug was acquired by American Petroleum and Transport Incorporated of Port Jefferson, New York. Where she was renamed as the Stephen B. And, the tug was fitted with an upper wheelhouse.

Powered by two, Cummins KT19-M2 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears at a ratio of 6.11:1. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,060 horsepower.
