Built in 1923, by Sorel Machine Shops Limited of Sorel, Quebec as the Rival for Sincennes-McNaughton Tugs Limited of Montreal, Quebec.

In 1940, the tug was acquired by Island Tug and Barge Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. Where she retained her name.

In 1960, Island Tug and Barge was acquired by the McAllister Towing Company of New York, New York. Where the company became a subsidy of McAllister Towing Limited Montreal of Montreal.

In 1969, Island Tug and Barge Limited was acquired by Genstar Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1965, the tug was acquired by the Bury Court Shipping Company Limited of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Where she retained her name.

In 1972, she was acquired by the N.E. Vernicos Shipping Company Limited of Piraeusm Greece. Where she was renamed as the Alexandros II.

In 1978, the tug was scrapped.

In 1959, she was repowered with a diesel engine.
