ISLAND BOOMER

Built in 1964, by Bel-Aire Shipyard of Vancouver, British Columbia as the Island Boomer for Island Tug and Barge Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. A subsidy of McAllister Towing Limited Montreal of Montreal.

In 1969, Island Tug and Barge Limited was acquired by Genstar Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1971, Genstar Limited partnered with the Dillingham Corporation to merge Island Tug and Barge with the Vancouver Tug Boat Company, creating Seaspan Marine Incorporated of Vancouver, British Columbia.

The tug is no longer listed in documentation. Her current, and or, final disposition is unknown.
