GRACE McALLISTER (1919)

Built in 1919, by Northwest Engineering Company of Green Bay, Wisconsin as the Suamico for James Hughes Jr. of New York, New York.

In 1929, she was acquired by the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Where the tug was renamed as the Lehigh.

In 1952, the tug was acquired by the McAllister Brothers Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Grace McAllister.

In 1968, she went out of documentation. Her current and or final disposition is unknown.

She was originally powered by a single steam engine rated at 450 horsepower. In 1952, the tug was converted to diesel propulsion. She was a single screw tug, rated at 1,080 horsepower.
