Built in 2015, by JT Marine Incorporated of Vancouver, Washington (hull #003) as the Montana for the Hyak Maritime Company of Middletown, Delaware.

In 2015, the tug was leased to Foss Marine Holdings of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2020, she was returned to the the Hyak Maritime Company of Middletown, Delaware. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2022, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Astoria, Washington.

In 2023, she was chartered to the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Tier II compliant, medium speed, General Electric 8L250, diesel engines. With Schottel FP1515 z-drives. Outfitted with 102(in), stainless steel propellers. She is a twin screw tractor tug, rated at 6,000 horsepower.

The tug's electrical service is provided by two, 180kW Kohler generator sets. Driven by two, John Deere 6081A diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 158,000 gallons of fuel, and 11,000 gallons of water.

Her towing equipment consists of a JonRie 200 hawser winch. Outfitted with 600(ft) of 3(in) AmSteel hawser on the bow. As well as a JonRie 500 double drum towing winch on the stern. Outfitted with 2,400(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire on the primary drum. And 1,800(ft) of 2(in) wire on the secondary drum.
