
Built in 1997, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #401) as the Miss Jessica for the Smith Marine Towing Company of Ameila, Louisiana.
In 2008, the tug was acquired by Odyssea Vessels Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 2014, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Crosby Discover.
In 2021, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houma, Louisiana.
Powered by two, GM 16V-149 TI diesel engines, with a third GM 16V-149 NA diesel engine. With Twin Disc MG 540 reduction gears at a ratio, of 6.18:1. Turning three, stainless steel, fixed pitch, propellers mounted in kort nozzles. She is a triple screw tug, rated at 6,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 61,270 gallons of fuel, 1,200 gallons of lube oil, 400 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 10,000 gallons of potable water.
The towing equipment consists of a double drum, INTERcon DD-200, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,500(ft) of 2.5(in) towing wire on each drum.
