Built in 1967, by the Greenville Shipbuilding Corporation of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #19) as the Joe McAlister for the McAlister Construction Company of Memphis, Tennessee.

In 1976, the tug was acquired by the Davis Construction Company of Memphis, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the H.S. Davis.

In 1994, she was acquired by the Patton-Tully Transportation Company of Memphis, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1995, the tug was acquired by the Sabine Transportation Company of Port Arthur, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Antigone.

In 1998, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, the tug was acquired by Wepfer Marine Incorporated of Memphis, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Ron Mook.

Powered by two, Cummins K38-M II diesel engines. With Reintjes reduction gears, at a ratio of 7.09:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
