Built in 2009, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #428) as the Michael S. for the Bisso Towboat Company Incorporated of Luling, Louisiana.

She was the third tractor tug constructed for the Bisso Towboat Company Incorporated by Main Iron Works.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3516 B diesel engines. With two, Ulstein Aquamaster US205 MK2 z drives. Outfitted with 90.6(in) by 82.4(in) pitch, four bladed, stainless steel propellers. Set in stainless steel nozzles, for a rated 4,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two 99 kW Marathon Mariner generator sets. Driven by two, John Deere 6068TFM76 engines. The tug's capacities are 30,163 gallons of fuel oil, 1,826 gallons each of hydraulic and lube oil, 1,678 gallons of dirty oil, and 10,938 gallons of potable water.

The towing equipment consists of a Markey DYSF 42 hydraulic bow winch. Equipped with 500(ft) of 8(in) plasma line. As well as, a Washington Chain and Supply RSRH100 100 ton quick release tow hook.
