Built in 1931, by Pusey and Jones at Wilmington, Delaware as the Richmond (#419) for the Cheasapeake and Ohio Railway Company of Newport News, Virginia.
In 1948, the tug was renamed as the J.J. Bernet.
In 1964, she was acquired by the Florida Towing Company of Jacksonville, Florida. Where she was renamed as the J.E. Coppedge.
In 1984, the tug was acquired by E.N. Bisso and Son of Metairie, Louisiana, where she was renamed as the Miss Sarah.
In 2002, she was renamed as the Capt. Albert for Captain Albert Hohensee, who was employed by E.N. Bisso for fifty eight years and was "commodore" of their fleet.
In 2021, the tug was phased out of service and was "laid up" at New Orleans, Louisiana.
Powered by a single, twelve cylinder, Fairbanks Morse diesel engine. With a Western reduction gear, at a ratio of 3.206:1. She was a single screw tug, rated at 2,400 horsepower.
Her electrical service was provided by two, 75kW generator sets. Driven by two, GM 6-71 diesel engines.
