Built in 1989, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #385) as The Deacon for the Suderman and Young Towing Company of Houston, Texas.

Along with the Bay Houston Towing Company of Houston, Texas. The Suderman and Young Towing Company is part of a combined operating company, the G and H Towing Company of Houston, Texas.

In 2011, the G and H Towing Company became part of a joint venture between the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Serving the Cameron LNG facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, EMD 16-645-E2 diesel engines. Turning two, bronze, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, outfitted with flanking rudders, for a rated 4,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two 75kW generators. The tug's capacities are 45,437 gallons of fuel.
