Built in 2025, by C and C Marine and Repair Company of Belle Chasse, Louisiana (hull #H391) as the John Paul Eckstein for the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana.

Named for the executive chairman of Marquette, who previously led the company as president and CEO for 30 years.

Powered by two, Tier IV compliant Caterpillar C280-12 diesel engines, with Reintjes WAF 6755 reduction gears. Turning two, 122(in), fixed blade propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 10,000 horsepower.
