Built in 1980, by the Gayman Ship Building Company Incorporated of Brownsville, Texas (hull #12) as the Durdy Dudley for V and V Towing Company Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana.

In 1988, the tug was acquired by Basin Marine Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2005, she was acquired by Tiger Tugz LLC. of Berwick, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Tiger Pride.

In 2014, the tug was acquired by Central Boat Rentals Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Whitney.

Repowered in 2006, she is powered by two Cummins KTA19 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at ratio of 5.2:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
