Built in 1980, by Sidney Henry Boat Builders Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana as the Alton D. for D and G Boat Rentals Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana.
The tug was later acquired by Garber Brothers Incorporated Morgan City, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Sea Hog.
Rebuilt in 2005, she is powered by two, Cummins KTA-19 M3 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.1:1. Turning two, 62(in) by 54(in), "D" Style Rolls Royce, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW Isuzu generator sets. The tug's capacities are 9,500 gallons of fuel, 110 gallons of lube oil, and 5,000 gallons of water.
The towing equipment consists of two, 40 ton, Nabrico face winches.
