Built in 1994, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #392) as the Allison S. for the Bisso Towboat Company Incorporated of Luling, Louisiana.

In 2025, the Bisso Towboat Company Incorporated was acquired by the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Detroit Diesel 16V-149TI diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG 540 reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. Turning two, four-bladed, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers mounted in kort nozzles. Outfitted with a 150 horsepower Thrustmaster bow thruster, driven by a single Detroit Diesel 8V-71 diesel engine. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,600 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 60kW, Delco generator sets. Driven by two, Detroit Diesel 4- 71 diesel engines.
