Built in 1980, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #357) as the Mi'oi for the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington.

In 2000, the tug was acquired by the Sause Brothers Ocean Towing Company of Portland, Oregon. Where she renamed as the Solana.

In 2006, the tug was acquired by the Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Ellis Brusco.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,700 horsepower.
