COASTAL LEGEND

Built 1952, by St. Louis Shipbuilding and Steel Company of St. Louis, Missouri (hull #1132) as the Louise for the Crounse Corporation of Paducah, Kentucky.

In 1978, the tug was acquired by Hunter Marine Transport Incorporated of Nashville, Tennessee where she was renamed as the J.W. Hunter.

In 2014, Hunter Marine Transport Incorporated renamed the tug as the Hunter One.

In 2018, the tug was acquired by GraeStone Logistics LLC. of Murray, Kentucky. Where the tug was renamed as the Depa Dean.

In 2020, she was acquired by Coastal Marine Contractors Incorporated of Slidell, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as Coastal Legend.

Repowerd in 1976, the tug is powered by two GM 12-645 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,350 horsepower.
