YT-812 "BAKER"

To be completed in 2022, by Dakota Creek Industries of Anacortes, Washington (hull #70) as the YT-812 (Baker) for the United States Navy.

She will be the eleventh Valiant class tractor tug, designed by the Naval Architecture firm Robert Allen Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia for the United States Navy. The design is a variation Robert Allen's existing Z-Tech 6000 commercial tractor tug design.

The tug will be powered by two, Tier IV compliant, Caterpillar 3512E diesel engines, with Twin Disc MCD 3000-5-HD slipping clutches and two, Schottel 1012 z drives for a rated 3,620 horsepower.

Her electrical service will be provided by two, 154kW, John Deere 6068AFM85 generator sets.

The towing equipment will consist of a JonRie InterTech hydraulic winch, mounted on the bow.
