Built in 1976, by Louis G. Ortis Boat Company of Krotz Springs, Louisiana (hull #19) as the White Eagle for Gulf-Intercoastal Marine Services Incorporated of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In 1976, the tug was acquired by Conoco Incorporated of Westlake, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 1995, she was acquired by to LA Carriers Incorporated Cut Off, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Lady Nita.

In 2003, the tug B and R Towing Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Brooks-Ryan.

In 2005, she was acquired by the John Dugat Company of Aransas Pass, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Holly Kay.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Corman Marine Construction Incorporated of Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Where she was renamed as the Julia B.
