Built in 1966, by William Ed Jackson of Rockport, Texas as the Grouper for William Ed Jackson of Rockport, Texas.

The tug later acquired by Brown Water Marine Services Incorporated of Ingleside, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Brown Bay.

In 2020, the tug was scrapped at Ingleside, Texas. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 400 horsepower.
