Built as 1978, Eymard and Sons Shipyard Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana (hull #1) as the Susan Crosby for Crosby Marine Transportation Company Incorporated of Golden Meadow, Louisiana.

In 1993, Crosby Marine Transportation renamed the tug as the T. Crosby.

In 1997, the tug was acquired by the Caillou Island Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Lil Al Cenac.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3406 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 5:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 30kW Cummins generator sets. The tug's capacities are 8,000 gallons of fuel, 100 gallons of lube oil, and 6,000 gallons of water.
