Built in 1981, by the U.S. Steel Shipyard Incorporated of Larose, Louisiana (hull #10) as the Miss Kate for 4-K Marine Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana.

In 2014, the tug was acquired by Central Boat Rentals Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2018, she was acquired Holcomb Marine Equipment Leasing Incorporated of Kilmarnock, Virginia. Where the tug was renamed as the Alayna Lynn.

In 2019, the tug was acquired by Dames Point Workboats of Jacksonville, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Carrie Anne.

Re powered in 2008, with two, John Deere 6125 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.5:1. She is a twin screw lugger tug, rated at 800 horsepower.
