Built in 1890, by the Union Drydock Company of Buffalo, New York (hull #55) as S.C. Schenck for the S.C. Schenk Coal Company of Toledo, Ohio.

In 1900, the tug was acquired by the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, Ohio. Where she retained her name.

In 1917, she was acquired by the United Stated Shipping Board. Where the tug was renamed as the Manomet.

In 1925, the tug was acquired by the Charleston Towboat Company of Charleston, South Carolina. Where she retained her name.

In 1936, she was acquired by the the Central Dredging Company of Buffalo, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1935, the tug was acquired by individuals Charles and Clarence Fix of Buffalo, New York. Where she retained her name.

In 1940, she was acquired by the Sonittep Transportation Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1946, the tug was abandoned and went out of documentation. Her current, and or final disposition is unknown. She was a single screw tug.
