Built in 1902, at South Portland, Maine as the Portland for the Central Wharf Towboat Company of Portland, Maine.

The tug was eventually acquired by Clarence Collins of Yarmouth, Maine. Where the tug retained her name.

She was then brought to the Cousins River in Yarmouth, Maine and moored, operating as a restaurant. Eventually the tug broke her moorings in a storm and became a total loss.

She was a single screw tug, rated at 350 horsepower.
