Built in 1978, by the Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding Company of Somerset, Massachusetts (hull #210) as the Dolomite II for A.P. Franz Jr. of New Haven, Connecticut.

In 2010, the tug was acquired by Viking Tug and Barge Incorporated of Verplanck, New York. Where she was renamed as the Johannsen Girls.

In 2013, she was acquired by Feeney's Shipyard of Kingston, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 200 horsepower.
