Built in 1970, by Peterson Builders Incorporated of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin (hull #YTB 804) as the YTB-804 (Ahoskie) for the United States Navy.

Her keel was laid down on June 23rd 1969, at Peterson Builders Incorporated of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. She was launched on January 14th, 1970, and delivered to the United States Navy on July 7th 1970.

She placed in service as the YTB-804 (Ahoskie). And allocated to the 6th Naval District at Charleston, South Carolina. On October 10th, 1996 the tug was struck from the Naval Register.

In 1996, she was acquired by the Eastport Port Authority of Eastport, Maine. Where the tug was renamed as the Ahoskie.

In 2022, the tug was acquired by McAllister Towing and Transportation of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Jackie F. McAllister.

She is a single screw tug, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
