MISS AIDA

Built in 2002, by Progressive Industrial Incorporated of Palmetto, Florida (hull #176) as the American Muscle.

In 2012, the tug was acquired by Eastern Barge Services Incorporated of Syossett, New York (a subsidy of the Greater New York Marine Transportation Incorporated of Syossett, New York.) Where she was renamed as the Miss Aida.

In 2020, she was acquired by an undisclosed buyer. On December 14th, 2020, reportedly after a wave shattered the wheelhouse windows. The tug sank two nautical miles north of Cape Henlopen state park while under tow to her new owners.

Powered by two, John Deere 81 Diesel engines. Turning two, 45(in) by 37(in) fixed pitch propellors. She was twin screw tug, rated at 800 horsepower.

Her electrical service was provided by one, 23kW John Deere generator set. And, one 20kW Kubota generator set.
